One Laptop Per Child

The One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) federation has made a deal with Intel which will lessen the digital divide between the developed and underdeveloped worlds. The silicon giant had previously been trying to undermine the OLPCs attempts by bringing out their own "Classmate PC". This isn't really a YouTube vid in the news, but we thought you'd like to see this hands on video of the $100 laptop itself. You KNOW you want one

Jonathan King Shipman Song

Convicted paedophile and music producer Jonathan King has written this outrageous ska tune in support of mass murderer Harold Shipman. The lyrics of the ditty suggest that Shipman was innocent and was merely putting his elderly victims out of their misery. And you thought "Entertainment USA" was cringeworthy...

BBC Queen Trailer

The BBC staff responsible for this trailer for a forthcoming show about The Queen have been asked to resign by Buckingham Palace officials who believe that HM was misrepresented. It is undoubtedly a bit of manipulative editing but no more deceptive than one would find in Wife Swap or Big Brother. We are MOST amused

P Diddy Secretary

P Diddy is recruiting a new personal assistant via YouTube, and potential candidates can be considered by posting a video response. We admire Doddy's honesty with the job description saying he'll be "Screaming at you, going crazy and keeping you up late hours". Apply within

View Tube

A lot of these London Underground train driver videos are being removed from YouTube by their makers for fear of losing their jobs. Ironic really as LU staff are always striking for safety reasons. See what one of them does for around £35,000 a year

Toddler on Drugs

*

A group of young women videotaped themselves laughing at a toddler who had been given Ecstasy. The footage has been traced to Texas from a map in vision and the radio announcer, though authorities were unclear whether the kid had actually been given the drug. Well, we can't think of any other reason her eyes would roll like that. This is more cruel that when we gave the King Nutter Towers dog Space Dust. You may find this disturbing

Watch Cloverfield Trailer

Watch the trailer for the forthcoming J J Abrams film here. It played in the US with the Transformers movie last week with very little info bar a release date. They've whipped it off YouTube because they want it to stay a secret, but the word on the street is that it's called "Cloverfield". Looks a bit like Godzilla Returns to us. Coming Now

Google Download MP3 Info

*****

This one's going to cause some discussion in the Google / YouTube camp. Internet guru Jimmy Ruska has posted a video explaining how to use Google's search engine to download music and video games for free. Such information is potentially embarrassing for Google as they have employed intricate algorithms to prevent such searches, but how can they stop people digging deeper and deeper? Neat trick when your Limewire's down

Sleeping Policeman

***

New Jersey cop Capt. Paul Messina (AKA Captain Sleepy) has been caught kipping on the job and the footage posted online. We do like to see unprofessional figures of "authority" exposed for the spongers they really are, though only a video of him eating doughnuts would be slightly less surprising. Sssh. People sleeping

Joseph Druce Priest Murder

**.

How a Massachusetts prisoner serving a life sentence can get online is beyond us, let alone acquiring internal CCTV tape and sticking it up on YouTube. Well seemingly lifer Joseph Druce did just that by posting footage of the moment he strangled convicted Priest and child molester John Geoghan in a cell at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center during August 2003. See see TV
