Why Manhunt 2 is Banned

posted 19th June, 2007 @ 21:05 by gary *****

Manhunt 2 has become the only prohibited game in the UK after the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) condemned its “unremitting bleakness” and promotion of “casual sadism”. Well if this compilation of "ways to kill" from the first instalment is anything to go by, we wholeheartedly agree. Only to be watched by the mentally stable.

And we wonder why our nations children have become desensitized to violence. This video is disgusting. It's sad when we resort to playing games that realistically promote violence and death. Good for them for banning this shit.

Sorry but my god what a typically ignorant comment!

Should all films of 18 cert be banned too then? If you believe computer games are purely for children these days you must be very far out of touch, by about 15 years.

Kids are not meant to play these games, just as they're not meant to watch 18 cert films which are covered by the same laws. If parents are too stupid to realise they're too stupid to have kids in the first place.

There are millions worldwide who like to play games like this and funnily enough, millions do not go out and beahead people after playing games like this.

It's ridiculous attitudes like this that have let UK get so far into the nanny state role. What happened to people thinking for themselves?

yes i agree that its good that we have people out there with the insight and knowledge to realize that we are to stupid to think for ourselves... i need to be spoon fed large doses of "goodness" on a daily basis... with out those communist nazis and there positions of power there is no telling what we would do...
