The victim from Sydney, Australia has doctored incriminating CCTV images of the villians for legal reasons though we're loving his use of the word Dunderhead. UPDATE: Listing removed by eBay. We've archived it here. STOLEN THEFT Apple Powerbook 17 Inch - Sydney 24 Jan 06PLEASE LOOK! DO NOT BUY THIS STOLEN LAPTOP! This almost brand new Apple Powerbook G4 1.67Ghz 2GB Ram 80Gb Hard Drive SuperDirve 17 Inch Screen Laptop was stolen from our office in St Leonards Sydney at 5.30 pm on Tuesday 24th Jan 2006. We have lots of video footage of these low life morons as well as great video footage of their getaway car. Fortunately for us these dunderheads were dumb enough to connect our Apple laptop to the internet using their own Unwired Wireless Modem (Duhhh, my head hurts!) and were kind enough to check our email for us. Because of their outright stupidity we have now been able to investigate our email log files and retreive the actual IP address used by their active registered Unwired Wireless modem, great huh? We can even Ping it, they are still using it!!!! Before they actually checked the email we decided to send them an email of the pictures below (proper real images mind you) to freak them out a bit and then after they checked the email we followed that email with another informing them that we now had their actual IP address, which we do. Ahhhhhhhh, Gotcha!!! Well......we must have got to them because shortly after we received a Withheld Number phone call asking for the caller to remain anonymous and that he wished to return our prized possession if we promised no further action. The caller stated that we would receive the laptop back in our hands by 4pm today (25th Jan 06) via a cab delivery. As that time has now passed and we have not received our laptop, we felt it only just to unleash our fury on these bottom feeding scum. Guess what? It is easy for the Police to retrieve the identity of a Withheld phone number provided you can tell them the time of the call! My God! These poor b@s!ards have no chance! Obviously, the Police have been contacted and provided with video footage, an IP address and a time and date of an anonymous phone call and given this wealth of information they have promised to swoop in force! It is now only a matter of time before these clowns are apprehended by the long arm of the law. Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes we have informed Apple Australia and the laptop who's serial number is W8506001SQ5. And now, of course, this laptop is recorded as STOLEN on Apple's international database meaning that it can not be repaired by an apple service centre anywhere in the world. if the laptop is dropped at an apple service centre Apple will notify the local police and the laptop will be seized. We need the laptop, it has data such as thousands of family photos, songs (mainly old crap), work info and some other personal irreplaceable stuff. It does not contain plans for nuclear weapons, the capture of Osama Bin laden or anything like that but nevertheless the stuff on the laptop is of great importance to the owner. If you have any information leading to the liberation of our laptop or can identify any of the goons in the photos, please be assured that any information leading to the safe return of our laptop and/or those involved in taking it from us will be rewarded with $500 for their assistance.
