The studio set was specially constructed for Sandi so the whole thing is hosted in auction by our good selves. Actually it's only a lunchbox up for grabs but we've thrown in a 'Tails from the Underground' script too. IMPORTANT: LISTING FOR INFO PURPOSES ONLY. NOT FOR SALE HERE.Sandi Toksvig LBC Studio Auction On Friday 23 December 2005 Sandi Toksvig will be leaving the LBC building to move to other projects. Her regular midday slot will be sorely missed, but you have a chance to own a part of the show’s history. For Sandi’s programme Studio 1 was refurbished in an old school classic library style and all the fixtures and fittings have to go.  These headphones are the very same set that Sandi has worn from her first day of broadcasting. They are Mono which makes them even suitable for people with one ear. The studio mic is sheer vintage. It is rumoured to be one of the prototypes that Micheal Rophone actually made himself. Recording equipment is plentiful and of high quality. Below you can see producer Tim Allen editing a trailer for his Cross-Dressing Friday campaign using a bank of Blumpkin 340 quarter inch tape decks.  The studio also contains a set of these 1950 Spadgemeister Monitors. They have top quality tweeters and woofers though in recent years they have been known to meow and sometimes moo.  Taking centre stage is this Jacobean fireplace. Sandi stained it herself, but rest assured the doors have now been fixed and its unlikely that you will be locked in the studio for three hours. Sadly the dildo rail became overloaded and was removed last year.  Do not be fooled by the period nature of these items. All technical equipment is 100% digital. In fact you can use any digit of your choosing to operate the knobs, switches and buttons. Take care though. Last year, engineer Steve Campen famously suffered tendonitis from overuse of his ring finger. This is an exclusive opportunity to bid on the final ever Sandi lunchbox to be signed by Sandi herself. For the final show on Friday 23 December 2005 she is joined by many of her regular entourage and all will be asked to sign it too. Along with this one-off item we will also include writer Gary Carpenter’s actual studio script from Tails from the Underground as used on the day of broadcast in March last year.
