Big Blubber

Anyone hoping to buy a piece of "Whaley", the aquatic mammal who strayed up the River Thames in London is out of luck. The Natural History Museum have got first dibs. To raise money for future rescues however, British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) sold this watering can for £2,050 to Golden Palace Casino.

Another antipodean auction hits the headlines in the shape of a chance to win a weekend with four Australian gentlemen. Each one is guaranteed to have a six pack, but if you want a tin you'll have to buy your own.

Poached Apple

*****

The owner of a stolen laptop has posted details of the theft on eBay. The victim from Sydney, Australia has doctored incriminating CCTV images of the villians for legal reasons though we're loving his use of the word Dunderhead. UPDATE: Listing removed by eBay. We've archived it here

The alleged ultrasound of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's baby was removed by eBay following a report by The Sun. The item was relisted and again removed but we cannot confirm if it is the same seller. Make up your own mind...

UPDATE: The final 1,000 pixels of the world famous Million Dollar Homepage sold for $38,100. We had a whip round in the office to buy a square but King Nutter's big fat head wouldn't fit in a hundred dots.

The Green Stuff

Silly season begins with this unwanted cooked Brussels Sprout. Many flatulent imitations have popped up including this whole Christmas dinner which, with the current bid at £7,100, we think is a much better deal.

Auction Clears Up

One person's junk is another's profit. Jessica Schikel of Ohio went on strike from clearing up her family's things and listed it all on eBay. The final price was £360.25. This didn't include S&H but local pick-up was available, even if Jessica wouldn't do it for you...

LBCing You

On Friday 23rd December 2005, Sandi Toksvig broadcasts her final LBC lunchtime show. The studio set was specially constructed for Sandi so the whole thing is hosted in auction by our good selves. Actually it's only a lunchbox up for grabs but we've thrown in a 'Tails from the Underground' script too.
