Pasadena Chase Tyre

Texas police spike-stripped the path of a Chevrolet 4x4 they were aprehending and this was the second tyre to come away. eBay went spare when they saw the ad, but it has since been changed with the seller treading more carefully. (Have we missed any tyre-related puns?)

Kidman / Urban Momentos

The Nicole Kidman / Keith Urban Wedding Momentos included a slice of the cake itself. We prefer the sound of the Tutti Frutti Macaroons as listed on the menu that was also up for grabs but as ever, you had to be there.

Green is the Colour

The Chelsea fan that caught manager Jose Mourinho's Premiership Champions' medal looked like he was in for a windfall when the bidding went up to 10 million. Since then however, he has been convinced to donate the item to a charity auction so the eBay listing has been removed. We have it archived here (or below). But it's not very exciting.

Going, Going, Gown

The dress worn by Keira Knightley to this year's Oscars has raised £4,300 for Oxfam's East Africa Appeal. We could have brought you a much funnier headline if it has been her nightie that was being auctioned. If only people would think these things through.

Fly it Now

Do we smell a bit of fear from the US media regarding the sale of a fighter jet to a buyer in China? It is also unclear whether the Chinese authorities will allow the aircraft into the country. Collector Zhang Cheng may find himself flying it over the Pacific while they all make their minds up. Buy your own here

Name that Team

*****

The Welsh football club formally known as Llansantffraid FC is searching for sponsorship by offering renaming rights on eBay. We think that Kingnutter FC sounds like a great name for a team so there will be a whip round later on today.

Buy Hugh's Boat

Anarchic chef and food writer Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has bought a new boat and doesn't know what to do with his old one. A rather innocuous auction for these pages we hear you say, but judging from Hugh's books and TV shows it probably has a gorier history than Ed Gein's farm (below)

Road Runner Caught

****

We were led to believe that it is an urban myth that emergency service vehicles can change traffic signals by flashing their lights. Behold, a Colorado gent has been arrested and fined for using an Opticon device sourced on eBay that does just that. Here's a listing for something similar to allow you to be "seen on motorbikes". Yeah right.

He's Bad

A truck driver is selling his notes from the Michael Jackson trials. Bid now and you may get an exclusive insight into the famous court case. Or maybe just a book full of doodles. Sounds like one of Jacko's pets.
