The Great Divide

We're back from hols, but it's still Silly Season so there's not much news. (Sorry we missed those Jennifer Aniston letters). In the meantime, compare the most watched items on eBay from both sides of the pond. In the UK we have a very practical Milling Machine. And from the United States... well... this...

Tang You Very Much

After some serious persistance, plugging, self-promotion and generally having a screw loose, member talbone0 has managed to make the eBay UK pulse list. We are pleased to present ....the right lemon

Elton's Bentley

Sir Elton John's Red Bentley has just been sold on eBay. It's the one he used to stalk a young Russian girl in the video for 'Nikita'. We personally think that £6,000 is a bargain. Even more so if he left his binoculars in the glovebox.

Global Campaign

Got something that you want to market to dirty old men (and women) in the Rhode Island area? Why not bid on one month's advertising space across the lavious Lisa's Cleavage. Only on a t-shirt mind. She has sensitive skin. No porn campaigns allowed either. What a wasted opportunity. That's like us not mentioning eBay!!!

Air of Celebrity

*****

The jar of air captured in the presence of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie was removed by eBay who stated 'there was no item actually offered for sale'. Our friend the_struggling_artist is shocked that conceptual art is not considered of value to eBay. The sellers relisted it as an "Empty Jar". Talk about spoiling the fun.

Banned 8

eBay have banned users for BIDDING on Live 8 tickets. Following a plea from Bob Geldof, fans were encouraged to sabotage the auctions by placing outrageous bids on them. After much deliberation from eBay and big swearies from Bob Geldof, the auction site withdrew all listings from its site. A few with creative Item Headings were still slipping through the net but eBay froze the accounts of all saboteurs preventing them from using the site.
